Contemporary with Maija Garcia, director of Organic Magnetics and FELA! Garcia's technique balances effort and ease, locating the axis in suspension to create energetic momentum. A full bodied movement experience infused with yoga, martial arts, afro-latin and contemporary technique begins with an extensive warm-up to open the body's organic flow, developing core strength and flexibility. Floor work releases tension and settles the bones in alignment. Phrase work encourages fluidity, velocity and expansive movement.
