CLASS DESCRIPTION:

In this class we will be focusing on how we generate support through the floor, the space, energy, breath, sound and most importantly, through each other. As we move through space, we will be mindful of our bodies and how tuning into senses can complement our actions.

My class will emphasize the geometric shapes and lines, both physical and imaginary, that can both describe and divide the human body and the space surrounding it.

Class will begin with a floor warm-up using set and improvisational material that will carry us through the space. Following that improvisation and compositional scores will be used to work with each other to develop partnering skills, finding efficiency in movement--athletic while minimizing impact.
